DynaComm VoIP Frequently Asked Questions
- How easy is it to setup this service?
Very easy. We install a small adaptor box known as an ATA (Analogue Telephone Adaptor) which hooks between your telephone and your broadband internet connection (DSL or Cable). We also offer multi-line telephone system setups for businesses.
- Do I have to switch my phone number?
We will provide you with a phone number to use for your new DynaComm phone service account. If you choose to keep you current number, we can transfer your number to the new DynaComm account. This transfer can take up to six weeks, depending on your current carrier. If your phone number is attached to a household system device (such as, TiVo, an alarm system or satellite TV) or used with your DSL phone line, switching can be a complex process. Please call us to discuss your specific situation at 248-478-4300.

- Is Emergency Service (911 service) included with VoIP? .
If your ATA is installed at your current address and your 911 service form has been submitted, the emergency service will work as long as your cable and DSL are connected. Your ATA can be moved to anywhere in the continential United States and it will continue to work for no additional charge. If the ATA is moved, 911 will no longer work.
